std_out

A reference entry for std_out

Predefined function · io

std_out (mixed message1[, mixed message2, mixed message3, ..., mixed messageN]) ⇒ string

Prints a message to the standard output of the system and returns the message. This works faster than print as it does not transform a value to a string first but requests the value prints itself.

Alternative function names: print*

Notes

Version 1.6.5 puts a space after each of the strings so print("Hello", "World") will print Hello World.

* Since ZPE 1.9.3, print has become its own function and is no longer an aliase for std_out. Over time the functions will diverge in features and possibly syntax.
